Meet the Gilbert Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Gilbert
We’re the crew that shows up when your gate won’t close at 10 PM or your opener starts grinding on a Saturday morning. Every one of us lives in the East Valley, works from the Gilbert shop, and answers to Adrian Vance directly. What ties us together isn’t a handbook - it’s the habit of writing the price before we touch a tool and photographing every adjustment so you know exactly what happened.
Our People
Adrian Vance, Owner
I started this company in 2014 after ten years wiring commercial access-control systems for warehouses and medical campuses in Phoenix and Tempe. The commercial world taught me two things that became non-negotiable here: every job gets a written scope and price before work starts, and every technician leaves documentation behind. I still pull field shifts when we’re stacked up on motor replacements or a commercial slide gate needs troubleshooting. My truck’s a 2019 F-250 with more miles than I’d care to admit, and I keep a coffee maker in the shop that runs from 5 AM to 8 PM because someone is always rolling in early or staying late. I sign off on every 365-Day Done Right Promise personally - if we missed something, you call me directly at (520) 482-3109 and I make it right.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us since 2019 and handles the calls that make other companies walk away - seized hydraulic operators on estate gates, custom-welded hinge repairs on 20-foot iron swing gates, and the diagnostic work when a FAAC or BFT board throws a code nobody’s seen before. He’s factory-certified on LiftMaster, DoorKing, and Viking systems, and he’s the one Adrian sends when a job needs a second opinion on another company’s estimate. Marcus grew up in Mesa, still lives there with his two dogs, and has a running bet with the rest of us that he can diagnose most motor issues by sound before he opens the housing. He’s rarely wrong. On every job, he fills out the photo log himself and walks the homeowner through what he found before he packs up.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena runs our new gate and operator installations, which means she’s the one measuring your driveway slope, checking clearances for UL 325 safety zones, and coordinating with the concrete crew when we’re pouring pad mounts in Gilbert’s harder clay soils. She came to us from a commercial fencing contractor in 2017 and brought her welding certification with her - when a gate needs a custom bracket or a sagging frame needs reinforcement, she fires up the portable Miller in her truck rather than ordering a part that might take two weeks. Elena lives in Chandler and commutes up the 202 every morning. She keeps a notebook of every gate she’s installed in Gilbert, with sketches of unusual configurations, and she’s started digitizing them so the whole team can reference past jobs. Her installs carry the full 365-Day Done Right Promise, and she’s particular about making sure every photo-eye and safety edge is tested six ways before she calls it done.
David K., Service Coordinator
David is the voice you hear when you call (520) 482-3109 at 2 AM because your gate is stuck open and you can’t secure your property. He’s been with us since 2020 and works rotating shifts so there’s always a live person answering, never a machine. David schedules every dispatch, confirms parts availability from our Gilbert inventory or our Phoenix warehouse, and pre-qualifies jobs so the technician who rolls up has the right motor, the right control board, or the right welding rod already on the truck. He grew up in Apache Junction, spent five years dispatching for an HVAC company, and says gate calls are simpler because the problem is usually mechanical and the customer can describe the sound. David also handles the photo record filing after each job - he reviews every technician’s upload for completeness before it goes to the homeowner and the permanent file.
Jesse M., Apprentice Technician
Jesse joined us in 2023 after completing a welding program at East Valley Institute of Technology. He’s in his second year of field training, rotating between Marcus on diagnostics and Elena on installs, and he’s already taken lead on his own residential swing-gate motor replacements under supervision. Jesse’s specialty so far is gate alignment and track work - he has the patience to shim a rolling gate until it runs true for thirty consecutive cycles without binding. He lives in Gilbert near the SanTan Village area and jokes that he practices on his own backyard gate so often his neighbors think he’s obsessive. Adrian checks his photo logs personally every week, and Jesse’s picked up the Haven Standard faster than anyone we’ve brought on. He’s working toward his operator certifications on Linear and Ghost Controls next quarter.
One Standard, Every Job

We’re part of the Haven network, which means Adrian Vance built this operation on the same clauses that govern every Vance Gate Repair location. Clause 1 is the written price, handed to you before we start. Clause 4 is the photo record, emailed or printed before we leave. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every completed repair with no expiration within that window and no argument if something needs a second look. Our Gilbert crew handles the work ourselves - we don’t subcontract your gate to a third party you never meet. Whether you reach us at noon or midnight, you’ll talk to David or another coordinator who knows which technician is closest, what parts we have in stock, and whether your FAAC 844 or your LiftMaster CSW24V is the motor we’re dealing with. Every call, every dispatch, every weld and wire connection is logged and backed by a real person with a name and a license number. That’s the standard Adrian set in 2014, and that’s what every one of us in Gilbert is paid to uphold.
